TEX - YUMS SUPA THROWED DESIGNER

Tex was born the first son of two artists in Dallas.  His father is a landscape painter and mother a fashion designer from Harlem.  Throughout his life, Tex has held a strong affinity for art.  As a toddler, he began grabbing crayons and crawling around decorating the hall walls.  He excelled in art throughout elementary school and attended an art academy in junior high.  Once he hit high school, he came into his own and fell in love with the hip-hop culture.  Tex later went on to become a central figure in the Dallas music, fashion, and graffiti art scene.

As one of the founding members of I.C (Infinity Crew), Tex and his crew introduced Dallas to the “Graff” scene.  He was quickly engulfed by this art form and it became his passion.  About the same time, Tex joined the rap game.  Juggling between the two, he became one of Dallas’ premier graffiti writers and noteworthy rap artist.

His connection to street fashion and culture became more than just a way to dress, but an actual extension of his personality (not just something that you grow out of).  Now into his thirties, Tex still holds an undying love for street, fashion, culture, music, and overall style.

As the designer of the Dallas-based YUMS shoe and clothing line, others can feel the fashion rooted in the identifiable sound of the Texas Rap movement and graffiti scene.
